The 106th’s first Commander wrote home to his wife frequently. Colonel Hadly’s son, William McKell Hadly, Col US Army, Retired
has taken those letters, with personal passages redacted, and published them for our website. The writings give us an incredible historical view of the 106th as it moved across France in 1944. 

William McKell Hadly was featured in the book The Boys of Benning. It is excellent reading and highly recommended.
